  1. Support our work

USA Donations

If you are based in the US and would like to support us, you can do so in a tax-efficient way by contributing to the ‘Friends of the Africa Research Excellence Fund’ at the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS).

Because KBFUS is a public charity, in accordance with Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the IRC , you can claim the maximum tax benefits allowed by US tax law for your donation.

To support us, visit the Friends of the Africa Research Excellence Fund page.

To ensure that 100 per cent of your donation goes to AREF, you can opt to cover the three per cent transaction fee.

Thank you!

There are several ways that you can support our mission:

  • Gifts by credit card: Visit the Friends of the Africa Research Excellence Fund page and click donate.
  • Gifts by check : Make your check payable to KBFUS and write ‘Friends of the Africa Research Excellence Fund’ in the memo section, then post to KBFUS, 10 Rockefeller Plaza, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10020.
  • To wire a donation: Email KFBUS at [email protected], or phone (212) 713 7660 and the team will be able to help you.
